- The National Capital Area Scholastic Rowing Association (NCASRA) is the governing body of scholastic rowing in the DC Metro area.
- Our "home" regattas are held at the Sandy Run Rowing Facility
- WS is required to assign a small number of parent volunteers to work at the regattas each week. A description of the NCASRA regatta volunteer jobs is provided.
Regatta Schedule 2008
Performance at the upcoming Championship races (Ted Phoenix & Virginia Scholastic) determine eligibility for the Scholastic Rowing Association Championships (also known as Nationals) in Oakridge, Tennessee. Qualifications are as follows: First Varsity 8 - Top six in States (all boats that make it to finals); Second Varsity 8 - Top three in States (first, second & third in finals); and Freshmen Eight - Top three in States (first, second & third in finals)
